This is only my second review...

This is only my second review of this club, but I've become somewhat of a regular here over the last six or seven months. I'll just offer an updated impression:

I know that most of you all drive everywhere, but for those of us who don't, a club like the Gold Club is a godsend with its center city location and proximity to the subway.

While I freely admit that there can be a distinctly seedy vibe here, it is not without its charms. Those looking for expansive, showy, Vegas-type atmosphere will never be comfortable here. The obverse side of this coin is the warmth and intimacy fostered by the environment. While trying not to be too corny, there is a friendly-local-dive feeling where dancers and staff remember the patrons and, vitally, approach them with less glitzy hustle and more of what feels like genuine interaction.
