Friday afternoon visit

I found myself with some free time and hadn't been to the Oasis in a while so I drove down Passyunk and checked out the Friday happy hour scene. I got the last spot in the front lot and got inside before they started charging a cover.

Large center stage with a front and back area, dancers typically do one song on each stage for their set. This place has seemingly been under construction for the past 5 years or so. I previously noted the updated couch dance area (nicely done) but there are still 3 or 4 giant ventilation tubes in the main bar are - it's makes it look like a space ship from a bad sci-fi movie. The seating around the bar was about 1/2 full so I posted up at the far end near the spot where the bartenders go back and forth to the VIP area. A mixed drink was $8 and the bartender was cute but I wasn't feeling the vibe from the crew that was working that day.

The first girl that approached me had been preening in one of the mirrors for about 10 minutes since I sat down - here's a dollar, go away.
