I stopped by this club when...

I stopped by this club when passing through town on the way to Jacksonville. It is a little tough to spot because the sign is obstructed by vegetation.

As you walk in the front door, you immediately turn left. The hall is festive with some palms to collect dust and movie theater style carpet adorning the floor. It probably hasn’t been cleaned since installed. There is a small register and display with some porno DVDs from the 90s. I guess no one told them that commercial pornography is dead. That right there should have been my hint that this evening was going to be a bust. Paid the entrance fee at this register ($5 if memory serves me) then headed to the large bar in the back right side of the building. The stage is towards the front, bar in the back, and pool tables and private areas to the left facing the bar. Building was well acquainted and if the dancers were more entertaining this would be one sweet place.

I ordered a frosty beverage from the bar, that wasn't terribly frosty. Barkeep seemed like a nice lad, probably a good ol' boy that grew up within ten miles of the joint. In fact everyone there at least seemed friendly. There were three dancers there, all solid 7s. They were all of the African American persuasion. The first dancer came and sat at the seat adjacent to mine, and started some polite conversation. She wasn't much of a talker, so a lot of uncomfortable silence. She looked very young, a little too young for my taste to be honest. As the country song says “I like my women a little on the trashy side”.
