This review encompasses two Saturday night visits to PT’s Brooklyn three weeks apart. The entrance fee was $10, the standard cover in this area. With a paid admission, you could go to any other VCG Holdings club on the East Side without paying an additional cover for that particular night, including Roxy’s across the street. A domestic bottle was $6.25. After 2:30 AM on Saturday nights (technically early Sunday morning), the club becomes a dance club until 6 AM, featuring a local DJ playing house, hip hop, and mash-ups. This is known as the Brooklyn Zoo.

PT’s Brooklyn is a two story circular building. There is a circle bar in the nucleus of the club. Three stages are along the circumference: one tabletop stage, one poled stage, and a floor-level poled stage surrounded by couches. On this third stage, the dancer will generally mount guys and grind on them. Private dance booths and VIP rooms are upstairs. I do not think this club is handicap accessible. Black one-way windows on the second floor allow patrons to look down below and patrons below not to see what goes on upstairs. One of the VIP options is a hot tub behind a curtain, aka STD soup. I saw a patron take a dancer back there once. Apparently, you are supposed to get naked and jump into the hot tub with the dancer. At one point, local police in flak jackets walked through the club, although they did not seem to inspect the upstairs. The washroom was poorly ventilated and had a troll present.

There were around fifteen to twenty dancers on both of my Saturday night visits. About half of the dancers were African-American and the other half were white. Most of the ladies were only desirable after a few beers, but there were definitely some 7’s and a 9 on one visit. The 9 almost seemed out of her element in this very dilapidated, cum-stained club. There were a couple ladies dressed in skirts and tight dresses here called TLC girls. Their job is to go around the club giving guys massages and back rubs at $20 a pop. It turns out the TLC girls will also give lap dances if you ask. They are basically strippers who don’t go up on stage. Some dancers respond well to stage tips, while others give no contact. Your mileage will vary. I was set to go upstairs with a dancer, and as we got to the booth, I asked her the price. When she replied, “$40,” I did a one-eighty and left her where she stood. She was pissed. Lap dances seem to run on the standard 1/$40-and-3/$100 VCG scheme, although negotiating might be possible with some dancers. The club seems to count dances and take a cut of every song a dancer is dong a private. A wristband also needs to be purchased before entering the lap dance area, as all VCG clubs will hit you with a wristband fee. I think a wristband cost $10 this particular night.
