Stopped into Atlantis on a recent...

Stopped into Atlantis on a recent Saturday night during a trip to Philly. Some nice talent here if women of color are your thing. Same owners as Purple Orchid, and sometimes the same dancers. Word of warning: the club is hard to find if you've never been here. Look for the Chili's (you'll have to find street parking) and then keep an eye out for the set of stairs leading downward (you won't be able to see this place from the road). Cover was $5 on this particular night. Club has a blacklight effect going on. There is one main bar that covers about half of the place, and the dancing stage is "inside" the bar area (two dancers at a time). Then girls circulate for tips and mingle, soliciting private dances. I scoped out the talent for a good amount of time barside. A really nice dancer caught my eye, and I was in the market for some private time with her, but she unfortunately left me high and dry for what I assume may have been a regular. She said she'd come back to see me, but never did. Oh well, her loss. Still, this place is a pretty decent place to hang and I would definitely return if in Philly again. Mostly black dancers and patrons, but you won't feel weird as a white dude hanging here (and you probably won't be the only one).
