Just got back from my first visit to Kittens in Melbourne (in fact my first strip club experience since getting to Australia). It was also my introduction to 'touching' lap dances and wow they're good! The rule is pretty much anything goes above the waist, although it depends on the girl on what they'll do (some won't kiss for instance whereas others certainly do!).

We got to the club and a couple of bouncers on the door asked us how much we'd had to drink but let us in where we paid a cover charge of $15. The place itself is decent although not overly glamourous – there's a large podium with four or five poles on it and another couple of individual poles at the side of the room (apparently there's another room upstairs which has shower shows on a weekend although this wasn't open). There were girls on the poles pretty much all of the time so there was always something to look at and plenty more girls wandering around the floor. I counted at least 30 girls there on a Wednesday night and the majority of them I'd class as very attractive. The ones I spoke to were very friendly and got quite up close and personal - some were more pushy than others but I never felt like I was being hassled.

The only slight negative is that the area for private dances is on the small side, so can get a little crowded when the club gets busy. You leave your drink on a shelf near the entrance to the room and after one dance I went to get my half full drink but it had been cleared away. There's a bouncer standing at the doorway at all times but once each dance started I didn't notice anyone else as there were other things to keep me occupied! The dances I had lasted a good 5-10 minutes and included touching for $50, which I think is pretty good value (especially compared to the UK). I'll definitely be making another visit when I'm next in Melbourne...
