When I have the time / opportunity, Archie's is definitely my first choice in the DC area. No private dances, no touching, other than to put $$ in the dancer's garter at the stage.

I look forward to going to the Detroit or Tampa clubs when I have the chance once or twice a year, which offer many many more opportunities for personal contact than almost any of the clubs in the DC area.

DC does offer some opportunities for personal contact, but these are mostly in less than desirable neighborhoods or only starting in the evening hours when I am not available.

Archie's is a long, narrow club, down a few stairs in a safe, professional area (McPherson Square), easily reachable by Metro (subway) day or night. On-street parking is not a problem. Drinks and food menu items are very much in line with nearby restaurants, though if your tastes include XO Cognac or French champagne, you'll be able to indulge, but you better be on an expense account.
