I went to this club on...
I went to this club on a Tuesday afternoon. It was pretty dead. The dancer to customer ratio was over 1 to 1 for the whole afternoon and there were only six dancers. This is a fairly small club. There is a big T shaped stage so every seat has a good view of the some part of the stage. Unfortunately, that doesn't necessarily mean a good view of the dancer. As I said, the stage is big. There is at least one smaller stage that was not being used given the off peak hour I visited. Every dancer on Tuesday afternoon was African American. The customers were 30% to 50% white that afternoon, i.e., two or three white guys, including me. I felt very comfortable in the club. I don't think race is an issue. The dancers were very nice, very willing to sit with customers. Maybe it was because it was dead, but I got a lot of attention from the dancers because I was tipping $2 per stage set. At Camelot that wouldn't get you noticed. The dancers were mostly real, not the baby doll enhanced barbies you get at some clubs. These are not Playboy prospects. Several of the dancers had large butts and even a bit of a gut. I don't know what it's like on a crowded evening, but it was a pleasant way to spend an otherwise boring Tuesday afternoon. I actually made a nice personal connection with one of the dancers, but even without that I was having fun.
