Saw some great reviews here on TUSCL, so decided to check out Gallagher's 2000 for myself. In summary, this club is a real gem! Great mix of ambiance, gorgeous dancers, LD/VIP setup, dancer friendliness, cost effectiveness and high mileage. Only big negatives are relatively high drink prices ($9 for a glass of wine) and the dollar parade.

Gallagher's is easy to get to via train or car. I parked at a public metered area under the overpass just up the street. The area is somewhat industrial and seems relatively safe. The entrance isn't fancy, but once inside the club is surprisingly huge. The day I visited at least half the club wasn't used. The joint can hold quite a few people. The main level has the typical two-pole rectangular stage surrounded by a bar. The girls do 2-3 three dances on stage before coming off seeking tips. During my first visit I went with the flow to get an up close look at the talent. Next time, I'll select a table away from the bar. There's at least one other stage that wasn't being used. The VIP area, consisting of 5-6 decently furnished curtained rooms, is on the main level. LDs are done on second level. Really like this set up because during the dayshift there's less bouncer supervision and some of the leather LD chairs are in semi-private spots. I liked the relatively bright lighting for catching a good view of bits.

The mix of dancers cuts across all ethnicities, sizes, and dance skill. Attractiveness, however, is consistently high in the 5-9 range. While there were a number flat-chested young spinners, none of the talent was fugly. Quite a few well-endowed, curvy latinas were in the mix. Interestingly, the level of dancer hustle here is pretty low. Over the course of 4 hours in the club, didn't get a single "wanna dance". Every dancer approached me and engaged in relatively lengthy conversation before popping the question.
