Went to Royal Palace last Friday...

Went to Royal Palace last Friday night at 11:30pm (for the first time in over 10 years). A lot have changed since I was there last. The place is about half the size it once was, so now it's a small-sized club. There is a large stage on the right in the front of the place as you come in that is raised about 3 ft off the ground, and it has 3 poles close together. There is a small stage that was raised about 1 ft, with 1 pole, on the left in the back of the place. There is a bar that runs across most of the back of the place. The tables are jammed together and the décor is not so classy but clean.

It’s on a major street, but not close to a metro/subway stop. Parking is on-street/metered and was tough to find space, but that late at night at least it's free. The neighborhood is pretty safe. There is no cover. It’s a nude club with full liquor, and non-smoking per DC law. Domestic bottle beer is $7.50.

There were 10 dancers working. 3 were 4-6 range on a 10-scale; the rest were 3 or below. Not surprisingly, the place was pretty dead with only about a dozen customers. Only stayed for 1 drink.
