As I read a prior review,...
As I read a prior review, I like the "one-beer hourglass" strategy here; where a poster stated that if after one beer nothing has tickled his fancy, he leaves.
That's a great rule - especially at the Fifth Alarm. As of late, it seems the quality of dancer has declined. Not that I haven't had some fantastic dances with black dancers, it isn't that often. Especially at the Fifth Alarm. It kind of seems that if the club is devoid of Latinas (which has been the norm as of late), the African American dancers are not under as much pressure to perform - both on stage and in the back.
I've had some exquisite times at the Fifth - just not lately. I think the guys running the place are not doing a good job of providing security outside, or keeping pressure on the girls inside. Perhaps that will change, as some of the Scores dancers migrate elsewhere. But, for the time being, I'm invoking the hourglass rule at the Fifth Alarm. If the dancers are lethargic, and nothing seems hopeful after a beer, I'm gone.
