Recent early fall visit: Two changes...
Recent early fall visit: Two changes worth mentioning since my 2011 review are that cab ride from IAH area hotels are now ~ $21. Second is that crowd levels can vary a bunch on the same night. Maybe whether or not there is a Texans home game factors in (I didn't see any obvious football fan garb). Two visits only a week apart could hardly be more different. The visit with no home game - club was dead, only about 1/5 full, mostly main stage only. Home game visit was more active- 1/2 full, mainstage and 2 ministages in use. I spent more time in the later visit, which this review concentrates on.
DANCERS: Guessing about 17-20 (maybe 12 on slower Sunday), almost evenly divided between Texas Blonde, and Latinas, with 1 or 2 Blacks thrown in. Dancers were mainly around 6-8. Shift wasn't the kind to suck ones eyeballs out of their sockets, but no real dogs either. Dancer would start their set on mainstage, then go to 2 smaller secondary stages, before being available stageside. One is advised to be proactive in seeking desired dancer, as there isn't that much dancer circulation. Law of nature is the lower half of dancers are likely circulators.
LAPS: I did dowstairs rooms, which have just the right lighting level with roomy rollerchair. Second rollerchair is normally rolled in front of entrance to indicate room in use. Mileage was mostly solid 2 way contact. Price point $20, no major song clipping. Dancers weren't pushy about more expensive upstairs option.
