Since Michael’s has not been reviewed in six months, I decided to visit during prime time on a Saturday night. I walked in the door at 18:50. They scan your driver’s license into their computer. Surprisingly, there was no cover charge. The guy at the door also gave me three coupons: one for a free beer, one for a free appetizer, and one for $10 off of a lap dance. I think all the freebies were a special thing they were doing because they were broadcasting the UFC fights that evening at the club. I had never gotten that much free stuff without being charged cover before, so I was kind of in shock.
The inside of the club is very clean and well-maintained. The roller seats were leather. There were four different stages, and all of them were put into use as the night progressed. The main stage has two poles. The pole on the left is stationary, while the pole on the right spins. Then there is an island stage with a pole, an island stage that is just a table top, and a table top stage with a ring hanging over it. During Happy Hour, Sincweisers were $3. Outside of Happy Hour, Sincweisers were $5. A glass of Coke was $4.50. I had egg rolls for my free appetizer and the Philly cheesesteak for dinner. The food was legit.
Table dances are $10 out on the main floor, but I did not see anyone getting them, nor dancers soliciting them. Private dances are $30 each or four for $100 and take place in a community room. A bouncer is stationed at a podium at the entrance to the lap dance area and collects the money up front for the dances. He did not peer into the room itself and seemed more interested in the main room or watching the fight. I got the impression private dances were one-way contact after a dancer reprimanded me for holding onto her hips. She told me I’d have to buy a private room if I wanted to touch her. There might be some dancers who are okay with discrete touching in the main room, but I could not confirm that. The VIP rooms are $225 for a half hour and $450 for an hour.
Free drinks are included with the VIP rooms: $75 in drinks or a $100 bottle of champagne for the half hour and $150 in drinks or a $150 bottle of champagne for the full hour. There are six different themed VIP rooms to choose from: Mardi Gras, Egyptian, S&M, Pussy Cat, Greek, and Vegas. The VIP rooms have cameras in them and their doorway is covered by a curtain. I did do a thirty minute session with a fake-titted dancer. There were no limits to where I could touch in the VIP room, but you are not going to get extras at this club. Two-for-one lap dances were only offered once in the four hours I was at the club, and that was the only time you really saw guys buying lappers.
Dancers only strip down to topless and have to wear latex pasties. The dancers at Michael’s Men’s Club are in the 5 to 10 range, with most being a 7 or better on my strict scale. Outside of a couple average dancers, you could call this place a 7-Up Factory. Most dancers are Caucasian, more specifically Cajun. There were two dancers from Britain and one from the Czech Republic. (The club puts up traveling dancers for free at a house nearby and will reimburse their travel expenses if they work for twenty-four days.) It was nice being able to experience some European ladies in Acadiana. The dancers pay no house fees, but have to give the club a percentage of any lap dances or VIP rooms they sell.

Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Michael’s Men’s Club. The inside was upscale, clean, and in excellent repair unlike a lot of gentlemen’s clubs in Louisiana. Dancers were very sexy; I would’ve banged eighty percent of them. My only complaint would be the lap dance prices are not a good value. If you are paying $30 for a lap dance, you should be allowed two-way contact and get more privacy than a wide open community room. The staff is friendly, and the waitresses came by with the right frequency: not too much and not too little. The club is hosting Stripper Olympics on July 26th.
