Stopped in here this past Saturday...

Stopped in here this past Saturday evening while making the rounds in Philly. Be advised that there is a mandatory $3 coat check upon entering, so it may be best to just leave your coat in the car. Also, the pat-down you receive here before entering is absolutely ridiculous - worse even than the airport. The security worker searches your pockets (even the mini-pockets in jeans - be sure not to keep any pills in there, not even Tylenol, or they will be pulled out) and even the lining of your underwear. Not a very welcoming procedure. Anyhow, if you're able to get through the doors without further incident, it's a very spacious club with a corporate kind of feel. It's actually a "boutique" club in the Rick's Cabaret chain, specializing in women of color. There is one spacious, central stage with three poles, and three dancers occupying the stage at a time. There looked to be about 12 or so dancers on shift during my visit here, which was during the 7 or 8 o'clock hour in the evening (there is no cover before 10 p.m.). Dancers were pleasantly "thick" for the most part, with a few petites. From talking to a few of the girls, it seems that several of the dancers travel from outside areas like Jersey (and even as far as Maryland) to here since it gets "poppin'" here on the weekends. I sampled lappers from two dancers (at $20 per dance); the dances happened in a spacious side area that is mostly visible from the main stage room. The $20 dances are topless, with roaming of hands encouraged. Both girls were fairly friendly, but there was nothing special about the experience. The hustle factor wasn't too bad - girls will scout the room and pull up a chair beside you, but if you decline a private dance, it's no big deal. Drinks were moderately priced. I came with a friend, and he found a lady he clicked with and got a dance (which is not usually his thing) and ended up having a good time. All in all, seems to be an okay "corporate" type club with attractive women of color available to keep you company. May be worth a shot if you're in town.
