Stopped in on wednesday night. My first observation is that I didn't remember how run down this place is physically. Or maybe it has deteriorated. Its not supposed to be slick "gentleman's club," its your typical small Portland neighborhood dive bar with some stripping thrown in. But even by those standards, eh its a pretty grimy place. The bouncer/id check guy is interesting. Has a bunch of face tattoos and always wears a combat type jacket with all sorts of gadgets and weapons attached to it. Sassy's doesn't seem like a very intense place but this guy is always dressed for war haha. Anyway, real neighborhood locals vibe here. The people around the bar usually all know each other and the dancers tend to stick close to the regulars. Two stages, $1 tip minimum per song if you sit at stage. Most people were tipping more. Lotsa couples here which is cool. The dancers do 3 songs sets and tend to be completely naked by the 3rd song. They are not shy about giving you a nice show- lotsa bending and spreading and stage interaction. Wide range of dancer looks- everything from your Portland "alterna-girl" to blonde bimbo to Latinas to Philipinas, etc. The one thing they *all* had in common was very tight, fit, toned bodies. Its clear that whoever hires here is very flexible on "look" but wants nice bodies on stage. Saw nothing but firm little tummies, no voluptuous girls here! One brunette, in particular, was smoking hot but she left early. Glad I got to tip her. Waitresses are pleasant in a dive bar kind of way. There is a lap dance room behind one of the stages but its rarely used, just not that kind of club. In summary, its an ok place to throw back a beer and check out some nice pussy but I wouldn't go out of my way necessarily.
