I've been to Babes several times...
I've been to Babes several times since my last review (June 04) and have to say this is still the same: kinda lame, but the best club in Jackson. Things change, things stay the same. The line-up has modified slightly -- haven't seen Goldie for a while, have seen a lot of Tori, new girls Amber and Samarra are hotties, Chastity is off with her baby (ack!) probably, and nobody knows how Phoenix makes money since all she ever does is hang with her new best friend whom she hasn't seen in like forever (that would be, whichever visiting male has the largest hat and the strangest Western string bolo tie). I have dropped in on Danny's to compare, and Babes always compares better than any other club in Jackson (note deliberate redundancy: Danny's equals any other club in Jackson!). I have a hard time recommending this club to anyone, unless they are STUCK in Jackson and NEED a strip club. The only real advantage it has, is that it's the only show in town. Danny's is slightly "classier" in the building's decor -- more mirrors, neon, and overstuffed chairs -- but Babe's is the only place with fairly-high contact dances from fairly-hot dancers. Compared to Tampa, Toronto/Niagara Falls, New York, San Francisco, Houston, or even Memphis, this club and all Jackson clubs are lame as hell. But it's still the best one in town.
In general, you'll find 2-for-1 beer specials throughout the night, a very rowdy packed place every weekend night, plenty of 2-for-1 dance specials (aka, $40 for 2 songs, which really seems like a 1-for-1 if you remember the sensible days of $20 dances), about 10 to 20 women working depending on the night. Most range from 5 to 7 in attractiveness, though there are some 8s / 9s wandering about sometimes. The private dances are high contact, high grindage, but there's no opportunity for "shenanigans" or "extra-curricular activities" unless you have rapport with an individual dancer and basically extract the club entirely from the interaction. The music is sometimes very honky-tonk, playing some dumb George Strait song with too many rhymes about pickup trucks and dogs; sometimes very classic rock (Stairway to Heaven, of all things), usually kinda electro-pop, and only very seldom "super fly" or "crunk".
