Louis' Rogue is closed. I dropped by yesterday afternoon, and while there is a lot of construction activity nearby (including street maintenance), the club is locked and appeared deserted. I spoke with a waitress at a nearby restaurant and she confirmed that the Rogue had been closed for the entire six months she had worked next door. Later in the afternoon a friend and DC Police officer indicated that there may have been a dispute with the city over grant money to redevelop the block, including the Rogue. Strip club licensing and zoning is heavily restricted in DC, so much so that it's nearly impossible to move a valid licensed establishment to another location. For the moment, however, it appears there is one less option for adult entertainment in our nation's capital.
