I made another stop at SOH...

I made another stop at SOH on my last trip to Harrisburg a few weeks ago to see one of the cover bands. I’m probably going to get flak for saying this, but Orlimar summed things up very succinctly by saying there is “a bit of a love / hate relationship going on” here. A few things really got under my skin this trip.

The Club: This is an upscale club in downtown Harrisburg. Yeh, it is in a sketchy area near the highway overpass but the club has always had security patrolling the parking lot and area around the club so I would not expect any problems. Self or valet parking. There is a no cell phone policy and smoking is allowed in the main stage area. I hate the main stage. It is too high, about 1/3 of it has the bar between you and the dancer on stage, and most of the girls only go topless at the bar end of the stage. On this last trip I finally managed to snag ‘the one’ seat at the stage closest to the “upper” topless stage. ‘The one’ seat was a little bit better view of the topless action on the “upper” stage, but ‘the one’ seat also places you in a high traffic area of bar tenders and people walking up to tip at the ‘open’ section of the main stage. (I like the stage in the lion’s den room much better, but the lions den room is only open for special events.)

Dancers: I find most of the girls here to be attractive. I say mostly 6-8’s based on the RTH scale. Skin ink is pretty under control here with only a few girls having excessive ink coverage IMO. Based on the club’s setup they should circulate more, but I also don’t need to be constantly hassled. So, IMO, I’m ok with it.
