Back in the mid-90s, I was a frequent afternoon visitor to Heartbeats. Recently I heard of updates and changes, so being a curious sort, I ventured there Thursday night for a few drinks and some fun. My modi operandi is to find a seat where I can checkout the talent and see who approaches me. I also limit myself to $200 for drinks and dances. I could see the place was filled with many beer-drinking, working-class locals and there were probably about 10 girls or more.
