Place has gone downhill since my last visit. Used to be an unpretentious local hangout - decent place for a beer and looking at some older but still attractive girls. John (the owner) seems to have given most of the work to new management. John had the personality of an ice cube but he knew what the locals wanted and kept things that way. The new managers have other ideas - nearly all the old girls are gone and the new ones don't look as good with few exceptions. There was a sense of uptightness that pretty much ruined things on my visit. Tried again the following day and the power was out from a storm. Couple of the girls were lounging around outside and they weren't worth waiting for the lights to come back on for. Yes, there are cameras in the couch room and that doesn't help either. Sugar has had its up and downs over the years, but after the "downs" it usually went back up. I'm not so sure about this time. It's still a local dive, but as of now there's not much else inside to make it worth hanging around for.
