I stopped by Ritz on a Sunday evening for my first visit to a club on the Southside of Houston. I usually frequent Galleria area clubs or more up North so I wasn't too sure what to expect. Parking was semi private and had a guard on duty that can drive you up to the front if you're willing to tip. I passed. Cover was $10 but I think that was a bit discounted since I showed up early in the evening. When you walk in you'll see your standard buffet set up to your right and a stage to your left. It wasn't being used when I was there but my guess is that Friday and Saturday nights it probably is. The back room has the bar and a sports lounge adjacent to the main stage. Girls have to wear pasties (lame) and they were doing two stage rotations. Drinks we the usual rip so I paid $7 for a Jack and Coke and took in the show. There were a few 8's more 7's and 6's and the occasional bridge troll. Around what I was expecting. The girls weren't pushy about dances and seemed willing to sit and chit chat if you asked. After a few more drink this one Hispanic dancer comes up to me and we exchange the usual conversation. After a few minutes I ask about prices and she lays out the rules. Lap dances are $20. There's a VIP room which apparently was only $95 on Sunday (a discounted price according to her) and I ask what else comes along with VIP room. You get two drink but a bottle isn't required. When we go in it wasn't exactly a "room". More like a dark ass closet with areas sections off. Right away I was pissed but she begins to offer me her "menu" and after some negotiation we settle on a price and if you play your cards right you can leave the room happy and a bit lighter in the wallet. Overall I would recommend others to go but YMMV so always negotiate otherwise you'll pay way more than most girls would settle for.
