On a recent trip to the Detroit area, I visited two clubs, Players and Penthouse, my longtime must-visit places when I'm in town. I have already reviewed Players, so that leaves Penthouse. I have to say that I long for the good old days at this club. Not only were the women more beautiful, but they were also classier. These days they are pretty up front about what is available and for how much. It's way too mercenary for me. Yeah, I know, it always has beeen about the money, but now there is little pretense of congeniality. Very mechanical. And, wouldn't you know it, the one girl, about a 9-ish blonde, that I would have forked over a wad for, did not play that game. They don't all participate in extra-curricular activities, only 80 to 90% of them. One super-annuated lady got me to the room farthest back. Only I wasn't buying what she was selling. I just didn't get a very good look at her beforehand. And she left emptyhanded.

I continue to patronize Penthouse, because, as far as I can tell, there isn't anything as good in the metro area. Oh, and I'm not at all happy about the fact that smoking is allowed at the upstairs bar. That's like the days when there were smoking sections on planes and in restaurants. Unfortunately, second-hand smoke finds its way past those areas.
