Pro: It's the only club in Bangor. Con: It's in Bangor, which means pasties and not a wide variety in dancers. Pro: The bartender was a smoking hot tall brunette. Con: She was only the bartender. Pro: For what was essentially an all-white club, there was a good mix of girls - thick, thin, tall, short, blonde, brunette (no redheads), small chested, nice-sized natural chests, no fake boobs, on whole a nice combination aside from the whitewash. Con: Everything but the cover was priced in $2 increments so they could give you $2 bills as change...hate that.
In all seriousness, it's a very well-appointed club with average dancers. The cover was $7. Drinks were moderately priced ($4 Heineken, $6 Crown Royal on the rocks), slightly more expensive than at a normal bar, but not as bad as I've been gouged at other clubs.
I visited the same space back when it was Diva's, and I can't properly explain just how much nicer this place is. It's clean, features a DJ who is only slightly annoying, has brand new fixtures and furniture, is well-lit in the places that should be well-lit, and is conveniently dark in other parts where you can try to chat up a dancer and learn a little more about the club and how it (and she) operates. The main stage is elevated about 4 or 5 feet above the regular floor, and has a nice elevated bank of seats to either side of the main stage. The girls tended to pay attention to the one or two guys hovering in the elevated seats and largely ignored anyone sitting on the floor. The floor is composed entirely of rolling chairs clustered next to each other or surrounding small round-top tables. I noticed two side stages that were really just poles with barely enough ground space for a dancer to stand on and carefully spin around. Neither side pole was in use while I was there. The main bar near the entrance was well stocked, and again, the bartender was beautiful and incredibly polite and smiley. There is a second bar tucked away behind the main stage next to the VIP room and near the bathrooms.
The club itself was fairly dead for an evening in a town that has no other night life. When I walked in around 10:00 p.m., I was the fifth guy in the club. When I left around midnight, I think I was the tenth. I was told that Saturdays are packed, so I'll have to give it another shot the next time I'm in town.
The VIP room is a single open room with what I think was four walled off sections. Each section had its own nice leather couch, table, and separate lighting. I didn't notice any cameras anywhere, and the girls I talked to said you were pretty well left alone during the time you booked. I was told that the VIP price varies by girl, but the average seemed to be that you'd drop $300-400 for a half-hour. A couple of the younger girls said they didn't accept tips and just took their cut from the price. Another more experienced dancer offered up that management was concerned about tips because of the extras that Diva's used to offer in exchange for those tips, and didn't want to risk earning the same reputation.
