Whooie, what a stinker night! ...

Whooie, what a stinker night! Just a basic old bar with worn floors and decent pool tables. I have been here before a few times. They still have the three walled-off private dance areas with the female bird dog. They have now added a couple more rooms over by the pool tables. No doors on any of them, just archways. The big change appears to be the pricing structure: 6 min. is $40; 10 min. is $60; 15 min. is $80; 20 min. is $100; 30 min. is $150; and 60 min. is $200. They have those signs posted all over and there is no indication that you can pay by the dance.

I knew that it would be a seller's market when I went in. It was a Saturday night, about midnight. About 10 dancers on shift and about 30 guys, a bout half Hispanic. The little AA door girl took $3 and then wanted a tip in her cleavage, and she looked to have a decent rack for a short librarian. There was no activity on stage and about 5 or 6 girls were sitting together in groups of two or three. There were a couple of black girls and a couple of odd tat girls. But the theme this night was thick girls. Dear God, I know that Maverick's is close to the old Stockyards, but the heifers are still around. There were at least three girls that must have been pushing 230. They all lacked sales skills. The "gem" of the group was a redhead who could do a few pole tricks, but up close had bruises and had definitely had kids.

I spent $3 to get in and bought a beer. But I had absolutely no interest in taking any of these girls to private and paying those prices for some sloppy, awkward groping. There are knockouts, then there are cute girls that acceptable, then there are girls that have a few miles and a couple of pounds but are eager to please. Then there are the fuglies with bad attitudes that couldn't muster up any sex appeal for even their own cousins. I kept my money firmly in my pocket and, like Snagglepuss, exited stage left as fast as I could. They have managed to take a marginal club, at best, and drive it into stinker status.
