Well, back in Louisville had a bit of time on my hands and stopped by the Foxy Lady. Walked in, paid the $5 and showed ID, went to the bar, got a drink and relaxed watching some baseball as nothing was going on onstage. When I wasn't looking one of the dancers, Honey, sidled up to me. I am convinced she was either higher than a kite or spent some time recently at the Sidney Crosby head injury clinic. I had the most disjointed conversation, one minute she is showing me pictures of her and her daughter from some helicopter ride, then she's asking where I live in Louisville even though I told her I don't live in Louisville. As well, she had the Tale of Two Bodies going where when she was standing on the other side of the bar, from the belly-button up she looked quite good. She sort of snuck up on me so I didn't get to look at the rest of her until she walked away later to go on stage. Let's say that the lower body did not match the upper body at all. Then I got hustled by her and the bartender to buy her a drink.......
I'm a gentleman, so when the bartender asked me if I knew how the drinks worked there I knew I was in for an ordeal. I made a wise crack that she pours a drink, I pay, and the dancer drinks. Apparently I'm not as funny as I thought I was. She explained that when I buy a dancer a drink I get the pleasure of way overpaying for it. Lucky me. Here's how they work, a regular drink is $16, then a step up is $31 (don't ask me the difference in the actual drink other than I would pay more), and then another step up is $46. WTF? $46 for a single drink? I obviously don't look too happy at this point, I tell her to make a $16 drink. The dancer begs me to upsize to the $31 drink because that way she "can spend more time with me". I felt like saying that I didn't ask to spend any time with her in the first place, but that would have been a waste of breath so I just said that the $16 drink should be fine. So, she gets the drink, more incoherent conversation with me saying "What/Pardon?" many time. Then she has to go up on stage, so she does a 2 song set as I get back to watching baseball again. She disappears and her drink is sitting right in front of me the whole time. I'm thinking I know why her behavior was so odd......leave your drink unattended with a stranger at the bar......... Anyway, she eventually comes back, more odd conversation, she finishes her drink and the bartender is over asking if I want to buy her another drink. I tell her that I didn't want to buy the first one, so one is enough, thanks. It didn't take more than 3 seconds for her to go mooch from another customer.
I got up and took my drink to a table out in the audience area that was completely empty. As I sit, they do the little parade on stage and talk about the 2 for 1 dances and the girls scatter off of the stage and only one guy gets to take advantage of the 2 for 1 as the girls mostly went into the back change room until the 2 for 1 dances are over. Nice! Actually a larger (but shapely) ebony lady started to head towards me to offer a 2 for 1 dance, but then she got called up on stage. She worked it on stage, may have been fun in the back room.
