I have been frequenting this place...

I have been frequenting this place for years (10+). There is a $20 dollar cover but sometimes you can get a free pass online. Most if not all Spearmint Rhinos are more upscale than most L.A. area strip clubs and require pants (no shorts, sweats, sandals, or hats). Overall the place is clean when you walk in and the drink girls are not that pushy....at least until you get a private dance. The stage is large and well lit, and most of the girls are decent dancers. It is $20 for topless and $40 for nude. I still don't understand why people get the nude when you aren't getting anything different other than the view. The quality of the girls at Spearmint Rhino are always top notch however, you really have to be picky and ask questions b/c there are a lot of newer girls who don't allow any touching and are horrible dancers. Sometimes you have to be aggressive and actually walk over to a girl b/c this place does get crowded on the weekends.

Over the years I have noticed the club getting less strict about the touching and what goes on in the VIP. They have one VIP area in the far back and there are couches w/ curtains for those doing the 4 song length VIP stints and another more private VIP in a room w/ door but is only for those doing 30min-1hr stints in the VIP.

A few quick notes about the girls and lap dances. There are few who provide good lap dances and "promise more" in the VIP but when you get there you get straight up robbed. Try to get as many specifics as possible while talking about VIP otherwise you will get screwed thinking you will get decent mileage only to get squat. SR like most upscale places charge an extra "fee" on any CC transaction so if you want to go big....bring cash. Fortunately there are plenty of veterans who have been around for a while and know the game and will show you a good time.
