I'm just starting to come to...
I'm just starting to come to Miami more frequently on business. I usually stay at the Hilton Hotel, Biscayne Bay, and have taken US-1 up Biscayne Blvd to Aventura. I have seen this club a few times en route to Aventura, but never stopped in. There seems to have been only a few cars in the parking lot during the daytime hours, and I also noted the parking lot was flooded after a good rain. (Most of my travels to Miami have been during the rainy season in the spring and summer months) Last week, I was finished with business earlier than usual (which is about 7 or 8pm for me), and decided to give the place a try since I'd seen it so many times. So arrived at the club at about 9 or so I would say. Now, I wasn't expecting a glamorous, 5 star establishment judging from the outside of the building, I was definitely seeking a place to relax and have a beer. I love black women, and had noticed it was a black club when I passed by it previously. Here again, wasn't looking for anything fancy, just decent would have done the job. I pulled in, there was no valet this particular night. I asked the guy at the front door if valet was available, he told me it was, but the valet guy had stepped out and would be back shortly. He told me I could leave my keys with him and the valet would park it when he returned. I declined, since I'd already parked myself. The cover was $10 that night. I had a Guinness at the bar, to my delight they sold Guinness! The music was hip hop and some r&b mixed in occasionally. I enjoyed the music, it wasn't too loud at all. There weren't many people in the club as this was an early Wednesday night. The bartender was nice enough, great smile, she should have been a dancer herself!
I would say there were about 15 girls or so, and more seemed to be coming in. I was really ok with the club until I saw the girls. The club itself is a bit shabby, about what you would expect from seeing the outside of it. There was definitely smoke, but again, I was just looking for a laid back place. As soon as I got my drink a girl came up to me, and she was totally not my type. Very unattractive face, with big, round owl-like eyes, about 5'6 or so..no boobs (A cup?), no great ass to speak of..shoulder length hair, dark brown complexion..but the most unattractive thing was her attitude. She asked if I wanted a dance, no smile, no hint of conversation. I said not right now, politely enough..and she just stormed off! There was an ok looking girl giving a lap dance to an older gentleman like myself near a corner. I really liked that girl, but she stayed with her customer awhile. I got another beer and hoped to see someone I liked. I asked the bartender if there was a VIP room, she said there was. Quite a few girls came up to me, I would say four or so after the first girl, asking if I'd like a dance. None of the girls were attractive at all, and the whole place seemed to have a really dead energy about it. Looks-wise, none of them seemed to put any effort into their hair, makeup, outfits, you know, girly things. One girl even had dirt underneath her fingernails, as she was sipping her drink as she asked if I wanted a dance. The attitudes were bad, and the girls looked like they had reason for bad attitudes. Not many of them seemed to be making any money, they looked really miserable and unhappy. I probably could've gotten over the looks if I could have gotten little more conversation, maybe a "how are you?" Just that would have been enough..I had another two beers, listened to the music, which was very good I must admit. Then I decided it was time to go home. I visit a lot of strip clubs, and sometimes when you're on the road, you're not looking for anything fancy. A nice girl with nice conversation and a good beer will sometimes do the trick. But this place was a total let-down. Bottom line, if you're looking for quality girls and quality interactions this club is not for you.
