Went to Tootsies with a friend while in Miami. The Club is massively large, almost too big. We were there on a Thursday night and while there were a number of dancers, there weren't nearly enough to be adequate for a club this size. There were stretches of 15 minutes at a time between being approached by anyone. One girl said Thursday's were slow. Hard to figure that out. Also, although we were in the VIP area (at an additional cost of $50 per person), there were certainly not any discernible benefits from that area other than bigger, more comfortable chairs. No additional dancers seemed to be trolling around in that space and, in fact, it was further from the main stage making it even more difficult to see the dancers that were there. There were a few very attractive women, some mid range, and a handful of girls who were a little wasted. Lots of tattoos. There were a combination of nationalities, races, sizes and shapes. I've seen better, I've seen worse.

We did a number of $25 couch dances. Probably 4 a 5 different girls. Compared to other clubs in this corporate family, these girls were super aggressive. Each trip back amounted to 3 or 4 dances of a sales push to get upstairs. Most involved a combination of begging, promises of all the lurid things that would happen, and sneak previews in a few instances. It made me wonder what sort of shape the VIP rooms must be in from a hygiene perspective. The ranges of costs quoted for the upstairs trips seemed to vary widely. There was a "room charge" that varied and then each girl had her own schedule of rates. Some girls who were mediocre seemed to want more. Maybe we weren't drunk enough to be swayed. They were certainly persistent however.

The staff were very professional. They stopped by from time to time to check in. The security was fine, nobody seemed to be obnoxiously bombed, cabs were available for the long trip back to Miami Beach.
