Pumps is a nice little club....

Pumps is a nice little club. Went in on a Tuesday night, there were a few girls working and no cover charge! I had a few extremely expensive lite beers (I'm not from NY so this may be the norm) and watched the girls dance behind the bar. Interesting layout in this place, the stage is behind the bar but you can still see everything going on. Bartender was nice but older and not super attractive, the dancers were hotter but nothing amazing. I got a private dance from a girl for 20 bucks but she insisted I give her more, and being the nice guy I am, I obliged, so the dance ended up costing $25 or so. The private dance area was great, plush seats, low lighting and I didn't notice the watchful eye of a bouncer anywhere. Back at the bar I was continually asked to buy drinks for my dancer, which I mistakenly did and ended up shelling out $27 for 2 drinks, waste of cash. Overall I enjoyed my time at Pumps, the girls were very accommodating and nice, and while I spent more money than I had planned on, it was a good experience. I will continue to explore the clubs of NYC but on my next trip I may return to Pumps.
