Typical visit to the Silver Cricket.

I sit at a table a little far from the stage, near the DJ and VIP entrance. Waitress takes about 10 minutes to notice I'm there, which is unusual... service is normally very prompt. As usual, waitress is younger and better looking than all the dancers. I order two domestic for $8 special.

DJ is showing off all the capabilities of the light system... colored spots around the stage are spinning constantly, shining in my eyes every 3 seconds or so, blinding me for a second or two. Smoke/mist is coming from a couple of holes in the middle of the stage. Dancers are working relatively hard, but are not really my type. Since I don't tip any of the dancers on stage (since they're not really my type) none come over after their sets. The rest are either sitting on their asses looking bored, cuddling with customers, or on their way back and forth between the restroom and the dressing room.
