Was in town in early December...

Was in town in early December a few weeks before Christmas. Came here for a nightcap.

Hailed a cab and asked the driver what he recommended. He fumbled in his pocket and pulled out cards for 1/2 off admission to the Admiral Theatre, so the decision was made and off we went. Was about a $20 cab ride from the River North – Streeterville area.

Arrived at the club a bit around 11:00 PM. Doorman opened the door and ushered me in. Club is a theatre layout as the name indicates. Girl working the “ticket” window told me it was going to be $25 cover, coat check was mandatory, and there was a one-drink minimum. I presented my 1/2 off card and only had to pay $10. Coat check was free at least, and located right to the left of the entrance. The mens' room was also in this area. I also caught a glimpse of the Adult Novelty Shop as I checked my coat. Was asked me if I wanted to sit in the VIP area for extra. I declined and sat at a small table near the main stage. Cute waitress came over to take my drink order before I even sat down. No alcohol here so I went with an $8 Red Bull.
