I stopped in at Amber's after a along absence and found business slow and dancers grumpy. Familiar faces Jesse, Cat and Taylor were there, plus a former waitress who now dances, but the other 3-4 dancers were new. All the new ones were in their very early twenties if not younger. That might be good or bad, depending on your outlook, but from what I observed, I was not too enticed by the newbies, at least in terms of their skills and manerisms. Not one approached me to introduce herself, in fact, I sat at the bar with friends for quite some time just guy-BSing, almost to the point where I was ready to leave before things turned around somewhat.
Personally, I prefer continuity and consistency. It takes time to "train" a new dancer to my liking and lately I'm just not in the mood to spend the time and money on that process, being more confortable with the tried and true.
I also arrived in time to witness the demise of Cheyenne, who had just been fired and was leaving in a huff. Seems she mouthed off once too often and got shown the door. Now, will that be a revolving door and result in her return after a probationary firing? It will be interesting to find out.
