Was in the Block area on a recent Tuesday night and stopped into this place, just to try somewhere new. It's a relatively small black joint with a cover ($10 on this particular night). Place is shaped like a thin rectangle and gets quite crowded so that you're shimmying past the patrons sitting at the bar as you enter and basically dodging this way and that to even find a place to stand along the wall. Not much wiggle room in here. There are basically two main stages separated by a bar. Dancers navigate the "crawl space" along the wall and will grind against you as they pass, asking if you want a lap dance ($20 a pop). Lap dance area isn't private; it's just a small area in plain view at the tail end of the place (i.e., the far end of the "rectangle"). In terms of demographics, this place is as black as you get: all black dancers (some with decently nice/thick bodies), all black patrons. I was buzzed when I entered, so I wasn't too self-conscious about being the only white face, but it can become a deterring factor here, and there wasn't enough compelling scenery or enough of a draw to keep me here longer than it took to stand along the back wall and finish my one drink. A decent place, probably something like the poor man's Norma Jeans. I personally won't be back, but to each his own.
