The Lamp Lighter is on the...
The Lamp Lighter is on the south side of U.S. Route 6 about 3000 feet west of the Ottawa city limits, or 3600 feet east of LaSalle County East 14th Road. The Lamp Liter is one of the more unusual clubs I've been to over the years. First impressions start with the fenced-in, muddy parking lot but improve as you enter the club. After passing through a large entryway, I went through the main door into a large room with a bar to the left and seating to the right. My $5.00 cover charge was promptly requested by a woman adjacent to the bar. There is a fairly large stage for the dancers on wall opposite the door. The stage is higher than most, about head high for a seated patron. The stage does not have a pole. There is a pool table and a dartboard. If you have trouble seeing in dark rooms, this place is for you.
The entertainers vary from several that were pleasant to the eyes to a couple women that should stay dressed. They were all very friendly, with a couple of them occasionally passing threw the room asking for $1.00 to rub your face between their "titties." The lap dances are against the wall of the room, with no privacy at all.
Another reviewer described the Lamp Liter as a neighborhood bar with some dancers over on the wall. I think that is an accurate depiction. It appears to be a squeaky-clean operation. Their website is www.kevinlampliter.com.
