Boudoir Rouge is the reincarnation of The French Maid in the west end of Calgary's downtown so the Calgary SC scene remains in the control of a single owner. During the day parking is a serious problem; there is a small parking lot immediately adjacent to the club but not exclusively for club patrons. Street parking does not exist on 9th. Ave day or night so the nearest street parking is a good hike away. Be warned about this.

No cover charge during the day; $10 after 7:00PM. The physical club is quite nice. A football-shaped main stage is ringed by the main bar with bartenders working between the bar and the stage, rather a curious arrangement. There is a circular stage in the room as well and during busy times there will be dancers on both stages simultaneously. Booths, lounge chairs, and comfortable bench-like couches make up the rest of the seating. Pints of Big Rock draft are in the $6-$7 range with Molson products available during Happy Hour for considerably less (I don't drink that swill so I can't tell you the prices). Non-alcohol drinks are $4. Standard pub grub is available. I had a pizza that was much better than I expected. The sound system is not great. The DJ's gibberish was unintelligible, not necessarily a bad thing. Go to the washroom and the DJ comes over clear as a bell, just what you want as you siphon the python!

The afternoon and early evening of my visit saw a steady stream of dancers to the main stage with occasional performances on the circular stage as well. Not an impressive crew on this day. Hideous tats, grotesque bolt-ons, rail thin, or just plain butt ugly. There were some energetic stage shows with impressive pole tricks and some dazzling gymnastics. One sweet blonde with lovely natural breasts got my juices flowing enough to contemplate private dances with her - until she removed her g-string. The poor girl had the ugliest pussy I have ever seen, so much for dances with her.
