Hard to believe that the same...

Hard to believe that the same organization that runs some high class joints in Charlotte also owns this small dive in Rock Hill. They've spent some money on new carpet and chairs but the building itself looks run down. Small, hard to turn into parking area off Cherry with entrance on the side facing the lot. You pass through a foyer and a second door and go immediately right to a desk where you pay a "membership fee" supposedly good at all of the MAL clubs. Watch out picking your way to a seat - there are steps in funny places and the lighting isn't too good. Place has two stages, main one across from entrance and a small one in a back room. The couch rooms (actually booths) are in an even smaller cubbyhole in the back left behind where a bouncer will hand you a cup of beer for $3. Snacks, soda and cigs are available from a vending machine, also $3 (BYO if you must go). Hours are 7pm - 2am Tuesday through Saturday.

As for what folks usually come here for, yes this place has nude dancing. Saturday night started with seeing the female greeter (who collected the fees) baring it all for a small crowd. She was about 75 pounds overweight - quite a sight to see. Others popped up from time to time, most were pretty average looking but there was one young, dark cutie who sat herself down beside me and began a decent conversation. She was actually quite nice to look at and very personable, so I took a chance in back with her (above prices are accurate). She gave a good grind but those looking for extras had better look elsewhere. It looks as if that policy is strictly enforced; there are some big dudes working here. I considered myself lucky as my choice was honest but be forewarned: a couple of the girls are sharks who'll literally hold you hostage in back until you've been cleaned out.

Overall verdict is that if you don't mind the sleazy atmosphere, aren't looking for extra mileage, think the possibility of having a little harmless fun offsets the risks, and don't want to travel to Charlotte for much better, then Emerson's (the locals still call it that) might be for you.
