Okay...I was out in California and had a free night so I thought I'd sample a Cali strip club.
First off, Sahara Theatre is hard to find, even with a GPS. It's in the back end of a strip mall behind a Mexican restaurant. The club is non-alcoholic so there was a $10 cover and a 1 drink per hour minimum...$8...but it wasn't too bad because refills were $4. The club was very small and very dark. The music was horrible "bitch rap" pretty much just rappers yelling about bitches...kinda hard to even listen to.
The quality of the dancers was very questionable at best. First off, this was the first club I've ever been to where there were "breaks" between dancers on stage. I'd say for every 3 songs where a dancer was on stage, there were 6 songs where the stage was empty. Most of the girls spent all of their time in the back changing room playing on their cell phones and doing God knows what else. Second, the girls were for the most part heavy set. Not "fat"...I mean, there were 1-3 that were fairly plump...but most were simply just "wide bottomed". There were a few that had nice boddies, but they were 2 blacks and 1 latino. None of the dancers were very good on the stage...very poor. If you're looking for girls to do pole tricks and really get into their stage dancing...go elsewhere. If these chicks tried to climb the pole, given their size...there'd be some serious injuries.
