This was my second trip to Angels. As before, this club may be a bit difficult to find. I'm from out of town but I know my way around Kalamazoo and I still have trouble finding this place. It least its almost rural setting most likely makes it relatively safe.

There was a heavy snowstorm the day of my visit. Although the lot was plowed, all the parking places closest to the door were not plowed. Seemed a bit odd. So I had to walk a bit further. No big deal - but management tries to project this club as a classy place, so the unplowed portions of the lot seemed unprofessional.

I don't know if this was a typical Monday afternoon, or the fact that it was a semi-holiday - January 2, but the place was dead empty. 4 or 5 customers at the bar who seemed to be regulars. I walked in - no cover, which was a pleasant surprise. No waitresses, but the woman tending bar came out and took prompt care of me. Diet Coke was $4.00. Very reasonable. I'm used to some high-tend Detroit clubs where sodas are $8.00 or more.
