I may be old and cynical, but the previous review sounds like it was written by a member of Alex's management staff. Clues? Sngle review, unqualified praise, factoid writing style. "..The waitress service is extremely good and friendly..." - well sometimes it is, but more often than not you have to wait twenty minutes for a waitress to stop by. "Champagne rooms are cramped..but memorable" - at $150 for 15 minutes or $300 for 30 minutes, not including the mandatory ersatz champagne, the only memorable thing is the impact on your bank balance.

It is unfortunately true that most MA clubs are mediocre, the better ones being in the Western part of the state. But why stop at Alex's when Providence is just 20 minutes down the road? On a visit this week to one of that city's better known establishments, I was offered everything up to and including FS for much less than the "zero contact" ripoff I encountered at Club Alex's.
