I recently transitioned back to Club...

I recently transitioned back to Club Venus. The club has been remodeled; the stage is larger and the floor itself is more spacious with nicer furniture. The lighting is a little bright in my opinion, and the raised stage makes it hard to get down to customers for dollar dances, but the atmosphere is nice. I visited and had an interview with the manager. She and her husband are putting a lot of money into the club and are still renovating the place, though that remodeling is happening more in the dancers' area. I only saw two white dancers on day shift; the entire night crew is black or mixed, I heard. The clientele ranges from older white men to black customers, which comprise most of the club traffic from what I can see.

Two years ago, Club Venus had a DJ who played every night. Now I believe that he's only going to be in on Friday and Saturday. The manager I spoke with is about to do a complete overhaul of her staff, to try and clean the place up, and may do advertising later (I'm assuming). With the right manager and owner, this place could be a prime spot.
