Of all the states n the mid-Atlantic region Virginia is the very worst for strip clubs, mostly due to the strict laws in place. All of the clubs are topless only with pasties, and contact is pretty minimal across the board, so if you know this in advance you are less likel to be disappointed with your visit to any club. It was with this in mind that I visited Paper Moon a couple of weeks ago.

Paper Moon is a pretty big, free-standing club in a moderately nice area. Parking is abundant and reasonably safe. The evening I went it seemed pretty quiet, a couple dozen patrons at any given time and about a dozen dancers, maybe more or less but tough to keep track. The dancers were cute, none of them were ugly but also no knockouts. I stayed for a while and had a few beers but the stage show wasn't entertaining enough to keep my attention so I decided to try a couple lap dances, which also left me cold. It's not that the girls aren't pretty enough and the dances are all they can be within the constraints placed on them, but for many seasoned strip clubbers it might seem like minor league.

It might be different for regulars but for a visitor this isn't really a club worth going to. I wouldn't venture into the private rooms or spring for any upgrades at any Virginia club.
