I decided to go to on...
I decided to go to on a Thursday night (9/1/2011) in search of a particular dancer that was recommended to me. When I called the club about 9:45 p.m. to see if she was in, I was told she was. Then I asked my usual question as to how many dancers are on shift right now. I was told about fifty, and eight more are walking in as I was on the phone. Since the dancer I was looking for was in, and a high number of dancers were working that night, I decided to go. When I arrived, at 10:45 p.m., the club was packed! I know that Thursday nights are fairly good nights at strip clubs, but this was busier than most Friday and Saturday nights I’ve seen in recent months. I soon found out why: It was military pay day that day. This club is a convenient drive from the nearby Joint Base Lewis-McChord. A dancer explained to me that the military gets paid on the 1st and 15th of each month. No matter what day of the week it is, on the first and fifteenth of each month, you can expect the club to be packed with soldiers and airmen. Tonight was certainly typical, she said. Lots of customers were getting dances, and lots of dancers were there to take advantage of it. I had heard previously that strip clubs near military installations are good places for dancers to work, but I had never been in on a night when the military was in full force. If you want to go to this club, just to see it when a great number of dancers are on duty, I recommend going on military pay day.
I found the dancer I was recommended to see, but she turned out to be not quite what I had expected. I passed on her for the night, but did watch her closely on stage and got a dollar dance from her when the deejay announced that special. I may seek her out another time, but instead I accepted the invitation of another dancer for some dances, and spent all of my dance time with her that night. I think I made a new favorite and she made a new regular customer. I left at 1:15 a.m. Despite the 62-mile drive to Lakewood, I plan to see her again soon.
Pros and cons about the general experience there last night: I liked the quantity and variety of dancers there. There was something for everyone! A variety of ethnicities, and body types were available. It was so busy that the waitresses never did get to me, anyway, to ask me to “buy the lady a drink,†a strip club practice that I detest. (For my complete thoughts on that subject, see my discussion item: “Annoying Strip Club Practices – Part 1: Wanna Buy the Lady a Drink?â€) I didn’t like that the music was too loud and the lighting on the floor was so dark, that I really had difficulty seeing the other dancers as they walked by. The stage lighting was just right, though. I’m looking forward to military pay day again! (I expect to write a discussion item on that subject, shortly.)
