This place is one of many apparently similar bars along the western stretches of Lockhart Rd, Jaffe Road and adjacent streets. I looked into a few others as I walked past and nothing much seemed to be happening. However, as I approached this one the 3 Filipina girls lurking outside grabbed me and dragged me inside. I didn't put up much of a fight. I had come out of my hotel for a fact-finding stroll around this part of Wanchai. Deliberately, I had brought a limited amount of cash but no ATM or Credit Cards.

Inside the 'club', on the right there was a stage where a bored looking Asian girl in lacy underwear was pole-dancing and, beyond it, a bar. Along the left wall was a seating area, consisting of bar stools and high tables. I was led into a slightly recessed part opposite the bar and sat with a girl at each side and the third in front. Asked what I wanted to drink, I opted for a beer but checked exactly what the price would be (HK$12), explaining as clearly as I could right from the start that my finances were limited and I could not run up a tab or pay by CC. The 3some introduced themselves as Elaine, Ketty and Lovely. All 3 were young, slim and very attractive and Elaine (the prettiest) and another started checking the contents of my pants while all 3 asked suggestive questions. It was made quite clear that any or all 3 were available for take-out to a nearby hotel. I bought drinks for the 3 (supposedly vodka shots or something but probably water) at just over HK$100 each so that I could enjoy their company for a while. Eventually it sank in that what they were offering was way above my budget and 2 mamasans joined in negotiations to try to persuade me to go back to my hotel in a taxi, with or without the girls, to get some plastic (no price for takeout was ever mentioned). I played along to see how much mileage I would get as they tried ever harder to convince me and Elaine and Ketty both indulged in more and more groping as well as (very) erotic kissing. Elaine even exposed a breast and allowed me to squeeze it.

Eventually I could delay no longer and left, supposedly with the intention of returning with my CC. In reality I was convinced I would be ripped off if I did anything so reckless so called it a night. I had spent far less for more return than in many LD establishments I have visited at home and intended to organise a safer and less expensive encounter next day across the harbour at 37 Dundas Street.
