In June, 2011, I visited several Russian gentlemen’s clubs in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The Moscow Penthouse Club is on New Arbat Avenue, among a neighborhood of upscale, trendy clubs, restaurants, and businesses. Look for a mall resembling an old ocean liner, near Smolenskaya Metro and the Lotte Hotel. The entrance off the street is separate and distinct, making the PHC difficult to miss.

Somehow I had the impression that the club 911 Aurora and PHC were partners, sharing the same venue, but that is not so. The two clubs may exchange staff, but PHC is in its own location across town. The PHC is slightly more upscale than 911, but the difference was minute. For a brand that tries to distinguish itself from others, I was struck by the similarities between the two clubs.
