The Penthouse Executive Club is indeed...
The Penthouse Executive Club is indeed one of the nicest, albeit most expensive, clubs I have been to. It also houses Robert’s Steak House on the second floor. Robert’s is a decent restaurant that has been reviewed in numerous magazines and The New York Times. I won’t go into great detail about the restaurant, since that information is easily available elsewhere on the web.
Arriving at the club: Valet parking is available, but the cost is $40. Street parking is usually not a problem, something of a shock for Manhattan. Once in the club there is a $30 dollar cover charge and a mandatory coat check for $3. If you have dinner reservations, they will waive the cover charge.
Club Layout: Once inside, the restrooms are on the right. They are very clean and there is an attendant with the usual mints, gum, cologne, and cigarettes ($20 per pack). The main room is very large with comfortable seats. There are VIP/Champagne areas adjacent to the main stage. These provide a little more privacy and require champagne/bottle service. Along the right side of the main floor is a decent sized bar.
