After a not so great night...
After a not so great night at Mons, I decided to try and change my luck at 2001 and was glad I did. Incidentally, cover at Mons was $20 and water was $2. Cover at 2001 is $15 and water is $4, so it evens out. 2001 was more hopping. Still plenty of seats on a Monday, but the energy was better. The DJ was annoying in terms of harassing the customers to tip girls on stage. It wasn't the fact that he was working the crowd for tips, it was that he wouldn't shut up. He couldn't make it through a song without commenting at least twice.
The spaceship theme is pretty funny. It's not a big deal once you get inside. There are at least three LD areas. There is a warren of cubicles off the stage, where you pay $5 each time you enter and $25 per song. There are also spaceship rooms for $200/half hour (good privacy) and $400/hour (supposed complete privacy I was told but didn't see for myself). The spaceship rooms are upstairs.
The dancers were mostly hot, and hotter than those at Mons on this night. A little more curvy, but prettier and more of a variety. There was one woman who was there to cater to those who like very large women.
