After spending the early part of the evening at the Déjà Vu, Lakewood, upon leaving, I called ahead to the Déjà vu, Tukwila, to see a particular dancer was there, that I only met once, but didn’t get dances with on a previous trip three months earlier. Indeed she was there. She was “my type,” which I am finding increasingly in short supply in the local clubs of late. I got a few dances with her and she was great! Had a wonderful time with her, and even came back the next night to see her again. I will definitely put her on my “fave list.”

This was my first time getting, dances at the Tukwila Vu, since the remodeling was completed a few months ago. The new VIP booths are very nice, and wider than the standard Vu and the former Talents West clubs’ booths; they are sited to offer the best privacy of any club in the Puget Sound region since Jiggles closed. Even though all of the Vu clubs (here in Washington state, anyway), are famous for having more cameras than a camera store, she was unconcerned about the cameras and only kept an eye out for the manager occasionally patrolling the VIP area. So, I was able to have my usual fun, which is only minimally illegal by the club’s rules. A new manager was brought in recently and has made two changes: (1) very low lighting throughout the club--On the floor, I’d appreciate a little brighter lighting, but in the VIP I like the new lower level. (2) The song length is now much longer than previously, and they are longer songs than any of the other local clubs I’m familiar with. (I didn’t time the song lengths, but I can certainly tell they’re much longer now.)

The down side of my visit, is that the club’s business seems way down from prior trips there. On a typical Friday and Saturday night, they previously had around 25 dancers on shift. That night there were only 11. One dancer I talked to, said that since business was down, many girls have left and that she, too, was in the process of transferring to the Lakewood (Tacoma) Vu. But, I sense that the new lighting levels and the much longer song length will help. I would recommend a visit to the Vu !
