I went to Solid Gold with...

I went to Solid Gold with a couple buddies for my birthday a few weeks back. It was a Friday night, and we rolled in around 9. There were a few customers there, but the place emptied out around 10 and we were literally the only people there. Thankfully, it picked up around 11 and got pretty busy. The club itself is pretty nice looking, with neon palm trees out front, and nice carpet and furnishings inside. Cover was $5, and they make you check your coat at the door. Once inside, there's a bar right in front of you (with mini TV's right in the bar), and the stage/seating area is to the left. The stage had 3 poles, but whenever I've been here, only two were in use. There's a bar in the back next to the third pole, but the lights were off in that area and no one was back there. The music was a mix of hip-hop and rock, and it worked well enough. All in all, the club seems clean enough, and not overly thuggy (though it did get a little bit so later on in the evening).

The girls ranged from so-so to very hot (in my opinion). The girls here love putting their breasts in your face, both on the stage and during the tip walk. Most of them had nice bodies, though a few could have benefited from some crunches. All the girls were very nice, especially when they found out it was my birthday. My buddies bought me a dance from one of them, and it was pretty average as far as dances go. $20, semi-private booth (thin semi-opaque curtain across the opening). Lots of contact though, which was nice. Nobody ever asked us about hitting the VIP or anything like that (I don't even know if there is one there).

All told, it was a fun night and I'd probably go back. My buddies seemed to enjoy themselves, and it was a fun birthday for me.
