Embarked on my grand tour of DC black strip clubs and am sorry to report that I was disappointed.

I got to this club on a Friday night around 10.30. I walked in and was immediately embarrassed: I was just about or even literally the only customer. They had taken a photocopy of my ID, a first for me, and given me some sort of membership card. Glad to see there is another photocopy of my ID floating around in this age of identity theft.

The second thing that immediately struck me was the music, specifically that brutally loudness of it. I could run but I couldn't hide. It immediately brought to mind torture techniques used in prisons that I have read about. I cowered in a corner with a finger or two in my ears, behind the speakers. Lo and behold, I saw some young black guys come in later and sit right in front of the speakers. What's the expression? Something a duck?Oh well, maybe it's just 53 year old white me.

There were lots of ladies maybe up to 20 or more with 2 stages and for the fans of slender barbie types this might be your joint. But for good ole fashion bundakunkalunk booty or whatever that's called, or mommajammers, you know the unreal coke bottle figures some black chicks seem to advertise as if they were actually employed by the beverage company, well those weren't there. Is this reverse discrimination going on? Are clubs trying to elite themselves up a notch by only employing slender black women now? And turning away the more saftig as they used to say, or bootilicious as maybe say now? Is cookiecutter the new normal? Are the old days when a white guy could get a big black rear end staring him ironically in the face, gone, lost in a timewarp?

I should also note that the seats are arranged like in a movie theater, just linear rows, kind of bad Feng Shui for a strip club.
