I do like the dives sometimes....

I do like the dives sometimes. This place probably qualifies as one, or at least gets an honorable mention. Dropped in after reading some reviews and getting recommendations. Visited on Sunday and Monday. The club is rather large which you wouldn't believe by looking at the small entrance. A little concerned at first walking in through a metal detector and then being frisked. Guy squeezed my wallet really good - checking if I carried lot's of cash? $5 dollar cover not entirely unreasonable. My scotch and water was $6.75 - not bad though on my about 5th or 6th it was allot more water, so much so that I doubted there was any scotch in it at all and had to ask the girl behind the bar to add a bit more scotch. Happened only once and my next one was more of an equal pouring (and I watched this time to be sure). They also seemed to have a "bucket of beer" special.

This is definelty a locals place and as such can be a problem sometime for us traveling men as all the girls go off to their regulars. Such is how it started out for me on Sunday - and the place was absolutely dead - though found out that all the girls were away doing the 2 for 1 dance that seems to pop up quite often. (A lap at $25 is a bit pricy, but the 2 for 1 at $25 is a value). Still, thought I had made a mistake choosing this place.

I started tipping at the rail which did get me some attention. Standard $1 tip BTW, gets tits rubbed in your face - you know, not for me in public and told the girls so - interesting on how turning that down got me even more attention.
